Practical Information

When you arrive without a reservation

The Wadi Rum Protected Area’s Visitor’s Center is your point of entry into the park. Upon your arrival, a mandatory 5 JD per person (1 JD for Jordanian nationals and residents) entrance fee is payable at the Reception Office. Please be aware that freelance guides are often present at the entrance to the Visitor’s Center, who will offer to sell you a ticket, tour or even claim that they are our representatives. Please greet them politely and then purchase your ticket independently from the counter to ensure you receive a genuine ticket to the park. Please ask the park staff to contact Ibraheem, at the number provided to you through email following your booking, in order to facilitate your pick up from the Visitor’s Center.

Please take a moment to experience the beautiful Visitor Center’s and the views of the Seven Pillars of Wisdom.
Once the travel details are disclosed your Wadi Rum experience will begin!

If you have a prior reservation

You will be met by one of our representatives at your arrival. During the low season, this is typically your guide and he will escort you for the entirety of your tour. At the height of the tourism season, when client departures and arrivals sometimes overlap, we place a representative at the Visitor’s Center to assist in your transfer to the Rest House in Wadi Rum Village, where you may park your car and will be met by your guide.

Rum Village is the last stop before your desert adventure. If you need to stock up on any supplies from the local market, please let your guide know. We’ll provide you with water and snacks during the tour.
