JEBEL KHASCH HIKE

Day 1:

Our representative meets you at the Wadi Rum Visitor’s Center and assists in your transfer to Rum Village, where you will meet one of our professional trekking guides.  With your guide, drive south through the largely deserted southern valleys of the Protected Area’s Wilderness Zone to Jebel Khasch, a high ridge stretching east to west for several kilometers. Walk along the top of the ridge for three to four hours, admiring the views of Wadi Rum to the north and Saudi Arabia to the south. This is a magnificent and popular walk, along a safe, clearly marked path.

Descend from the ridge and your guide will find a comfortable spot for a late lunch before heading back to our fixed camp, located close to Jebel Al Qattar at the edge of the Wilderness Zone.

At our fixed camp, you may go for a wander in the nearby cliffs, watch the sunset or relax around a campfire, before enjoying a traditional Bedouin dinner with tea. After dinner, conversation often lingers late around the campfire, as we gaze up at the magnificent night sky. Your guides can also be convinced to share traditional Bedouin music and stories…

Day 2:

After breakfast, we’ll escort you back to Rum Village for transport onward to your next adventure!
